Long-haul truck trips across Russia and Eastern Europe and a workshop documenting Harley riders across Pennsylvania – these two experiences literally paved the way to becoming a ‘shop-floor’ reporter covering industries like steel, power, mining, refining, forestry, paper, telecoms, manufacturing, shipping, electronics, space, construction, nuclear, fishing, processing, robotics, food, irrigation and distribution for magazines, brochures, annual reports and websites. The work continues to this day. I am comfortable working in these tough yet fascinating environments. My curiosity is piqued every time by the smallest detail.
